2022 Universeum annual conference

University museums and collections in the vanguard of contemporary societal debates

Universeum annual conference will be held in Belgium from the 5th to the 8th of July 2022. 

The Université Libre de Bruxelles and KU Leuven, host of the conference, are working hard to organise a rich programme that will include visits to Mons and Gent. Regarding the current situation they agreed to plan the possibility of a hybrid participation to the sessions.

This main theme echoed the last 2021 UMAC-UNIVERSEUM joint online conference during which many issues were raised and discussed by the community.

During the 2022 Universeum Annual Conference in Belgium, organizers and the community would like to continue this debate and focus it specifically in relation to university museums (U-museums) and collections.
