    Museum as a Hub for Creativity and Cultural Connections

    ICOM Russia with the support of Panasonic Russia will hold the Round Table talks devoted to the theme “Museum as a Hub for Creativity and Cultural Connections”. This event will take place on 3 rd of September in the framework of the XXV ICOM General Conference, Kyoto, Japan.

    Nowadays, the Museum is a point of attraction and place of meeting of different people, communities and cultures. Museums prove their ability to turn into a space for interaction, dialogue and reflection on the past, present and future. In this regard, special attention should be paid to the results of cross-cultural,  intergenerationaland interdisciplinary communications, which are caused by museums. Could a museum, being a center of knowledge, innovation and creativity, offer creative solutions demanded by the society? Participants will discuss successful projects and practices based on collaboration of various actors and demonstrating the sustainable contribution of a museum to the development of human and social capital, including positive effects in the economy, science and other spheres of public life.

    If you want to make a presentation, it is necessary to specify the topic of your paper, write a short abstract (no more than 100 words) and a brief biography (no more than 80 words) in English in the Registration form.

    The selection of applications is carried out according to the following criteria: compliance with the  designatedissues of the Round table talks, innovativeness of submitted projects and ideas, the practical  significanceof the proposed experience, clarity of presentation.
